General Information
- All
garbage and/or trash must be enclosed within plastic or treated paper bags no
heavier than 35 lbs each before placing inside your chosen container per Lucas
City Ordinance No. 06-03-02.
- NEW! You may now put your unbagged
recyclables into a self-purchased container for collection. You may use any
type of container so long as the weight does not exceed 50 lbs., including contents.
We will bring labels to mark your own container OR you may purchase a 95-gallon
polycart similar to the one we provide for trash that is already labeled "Recycle
ONLY". The cost for a polycart is $75.00 (tax & delivery included).
- if
you wish to receive an e-mail reminder for recycling day, simply send us an e-mail
or call our office and we'll add you to the list. Please call our office to notify
us of your intent to use a container instead of bags.
- NOTE that we
will not collect recyclables from a container that is not marked with "recycling
only". In addition, the regular trash collector will not pick up trash
out of a container marked "recycle only".

must be flattened and bundled together or if filled with packing material,
taped shut.
